I got an email from Paid Online Writing Jobs a few minutes ago. The header said that they were looking for content writers on Medium…

But wait a minute…I AM on Medium! Duh!!!

The message stated that I’d get paid $240 per day to write on a platform where I already write. I figured I’d check out this gig since I needed some source material to write this article. So I bit the bullet.

Okay, looks legit. But this gig is far from it. The saying goes that if it looks too good to be true, then there’s a good chance that it is. I went ahead and tapped “Click Here To Apply” on my trusty Samsung Galaxy A32 cellphone with a cracked screen protector.

The caveat of this whole gig is that you have to pay a certification fee. Exactly why do you need to pay for certified training when you can sign up on Medium for free? This is the part of the scam where people part with their…
