Why I am who I be ☺
That’s how I’m starting my bio. I’m a nerd; I’m not your stereotypical Poindexter with the soda-bottle glasses, pocket protector and suspenders, but I am most certainly a nerd. I love classic anime and video games as I was born in and grew up during the era of Ms. Pac-Man and Super Mario Bros (also known as the era where you had to blow your games in order to get them to work). Out of all the ones I’ve played, my all-time favorite is Street Fighter II (preferably the SNES version). It was because of playing that game on my birthday at the arcade that I met my best friend of sixteen years. I wrote about how we met in my Friendship For One Credit story.
I’m also an old-school and underground Hip Hop enthusiast (about 40% West Coast, 50% East Coast, and 10% Somewhere Else). I have an all-time favorite song as well; not just in Hip Hop, but it transcends all genres. The favorite song in question is none other than the 1992 masterpiece, They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.), by Pete Rock & CL Smooth of Mount Vernon, NY.
I am from Los Angeles, CA and was born just walking distance outside of the city in a smaller town called Inglewood. When I’m not writing stories and articles on Medium, I enjoy crocheting, coming up with ideas on what novels to write, actually writing those books, visiting the library and reading some urban fiction…
